The Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Decision establishing the National Trade Facilitation Body at a session held on November 2, 2017. The body gathers 12 state institutions, inspection and border agencies, which by joint efforts and cooperation with the private sector should contribute to facilitating trade and eliminating obstacles to the free flow of goods. Due to personnel changes in certain ministries and agencies from whose ranks the members of the National Coordination Body for Trade Facilitation were appointed, and in order to continue the efficient functioning of this body, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted an amendment to the Decision on NTFB (Official Gazette of RS, No. 27/2023, from April 7, 2023)
By the Decision establishing the National Trade Facilitation Body, the Chair, Deputy Chair and members of the body were appointed from all competent institutions responsible for foreign trade matters. The NTFB is chaired, after the amendment in April 2023, by the minister for Internal and Foreign Trade; its Vice-Chair is the Assistant Minister from Ministry of Finance.
The Rules of Procedure of the NTFB regulate the mode of operation, convening and preparation of meetings, voting and decision-making, as well as all other issues of importance for the work of the National Trade Facilitation Body.
In accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the NTFB, the Expert Groups are established and tasked with considering particular trade issues and participating in proposing solutions to facilitate foreign trade in the area of their scope of work.
