Minister Tomislav Momirovic appointed as Chairman of the National Coordination Body Trade Facilitation

The Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted, at the session held on April 6, 2023, the Decision on Amending the Decision on the Establishment of the National Coordinating Body for Trade Facilitation (“Official Gazette of the RS“, No. 98 of November 3, 2017, 55 of August 2, 2019, 27 of April 7, 2023).

According to these changes, the new president of NTFB will be the Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade, Tomislav Momirović, while the deputy president will be Snežana Karanović, assistant to the Minister of Finance.

Recognizing the importance of facilitating foreign trade, especially in the conditions of changed international circumstances after the covid pandemic and the conflict in Ukraine, which significantly affected the difficult cross-border movement of goods and interruptions in supply chains, the Minister of Internal and External Trade, Mr. Momirović, decided to assume the function of representative of this National coordinating body. This will provide additional support at the highest level to all institutions involved in the work of NKTOT in order to ensure the most favorable business conditions for Serbian exporters and importers.

In addition to the changes related to the chairmanship of this body, the Decision also states changes in personnel in certain ministries and administrations from whose ranks the members of the National Coordination Body for Trade Facilitation were appointed.
