The eighth session of the National Coordination Body for Trade Facilitation was held

The eighth session of the National Coordination Body for Trade Facilitation (NTFB) was held on December 12th 2022, in the premises of the Ministry of Internal and Foreign Trade. The session was chaired by the deputy president of NTFB Duško Marinković, and the chairpersons of expert working groups Snežana Karanović, Tatjana Dinkić and Zoran Bakić, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Ivan Tomašev and Ivana Hajzler, as well as other members from the relevant departments involved in the work of this Body, were present. The business community was represented by Tatjana Beuk and Mladen Đorić from the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Amalija Pavić and Dragana Cvetković from the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia, as well as Nikola Kostić, Slađana Babić and Dragana Stikić on behalf of the Foreign Investors Council.

Considering that the end of 2022 is approaching, the meeting was a good opportunity to analyze the current situation when it comes to the implementation of the Action Plans of expert working groups for the period 2022-2023. As is always the case, after the reports presented by the chairmen of the expert working groups, the representatives of the business community had the opportunity to ask additional questions and raise new topics within their competences, which concern the problems that the business community faces in conducting foreign trade operations.

Bearing in mind that a new Serbian Government was formed, as well as that the Decision on the establishment of NTFB was updated for the last time in terms of members and deputy members in 2019, and that certain appointees are no longer in the state administration system, members of NTFB were informed that the procedure for amending the aforementioned Decision will be initiated shortly.
